If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14

It’s Time To Get Intolerant

Posted on December 31 - from BarbWire

[Ed. note: The Christian mission has always been one of intolerance: hating evil practices that harm people, and being intolerant of idolatrous and deadly customs and practices.]

We expect secular humanists and others like them to celebrate the idea of tolerance as the greatest good, but sadly many believers have also hopped on to this foolish bandwagon. It is as if the greatest virtue is now tolerance and the greatest vice is intolerance.

Well, it is time for some straight thinking here. In fact, it’s time to get biblical as well. Just today I read the words of Jesus in which he praised intolerance. Yep, you heard me right. In his words to the Church in Thyatira he praised their ‘faith, service and perseverance,’ but he went on to harshly rebuke them:

“Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols” (Revelation 2:20). These believers were tolerating something which they should have been very intolerant about. Read more...

It’s not White Privilege, it’s American Privilege

Posted on December 30 - from Sons of Liberty

[Ed. note: Pulling the Mask off of Collectivist Fascism]

I was sitting on my front porch, in a decent wooden rocker, eating sourdough pretzels from a bag, and drinking bottled water. Now, this may not sound like much to you, but just by enjoying these few things in a few moments of relative liberty, I am among the most fortunate people on the face of the Earth.

I don’t know the statistics offhand (and I’m too lazy at the moment to look them up… Google!), but much of the world is always on the brink of starvation. There’s no reason for me to feel guilty about this, even if I do feel sad. First, if I believe in God, which I do, I know that I was born into this place and time without any input from me, for some reason only God knows. Therefore, I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, and I only have gratitude that where I’m supposed to be is here and now. Second, what good is a resource or product if it’s not enjoyed? My father always used to say, “Money is for spending.” I didn’t know what he meant then, but I think I know now. Money spent gives forth many things, has a life of its own, and can purchase some temporary thing to make us happy, whether food or some other item of value. Naturally, I could write many paragraphs regarding what money is, what happiness is, and whether or not money buys happiness, but I will leave those philosophies off the table right now.

Contrarily, there are many people who believe just the opposite. They do not think that resources and products are to be enjoyed by those who can afford to have them. They do not believe money ought to be handled by the population-at-large. Well, if the population-at-large ought not handle money, how shall they have what they want and need? An here’s where we get to the ideology which to most of us is alien. Most often, that alien ideology says the government should be sole benefactor of the labor of the many, and that resources ought to be distributed “as needed” by such government. This, of course, is Marxism, and its many branches of Socialism, communism, and other collectivism. Read more...

Christians, Stand Your Ground Against Homofascism

Posted on December 29 - from Barb Wire

[Ed. note: For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him. Philippians 1:29]

Defense of God’s design for natural marriage – along with the God-given, constitutional freedom of conscience to decline participation in and, thereby, endorsement of, its unnatural and sin-based counterfeit, so-called “gay marriage” – is now among America’s premier civil-rights struggles. I know from whence I speak, as 10 years ago I was fired from a major fortune 100 company for writing, on my own time and on my home computer, an op-ed acknowledging the requisite binary male-female nature of authentic marriage and human sexuality.

Rather than rolling over and accepting this injustice, I sued in federal court. God used that situation not only to bless me and my family with a significant monetary settlement, but to place me on the front lines in the fast-escalating war against religious liberty. I share this not to boast, but, rather, to encourage you – to illustrate God’s marvelous faithfulness in my own life.

As Christians, we are called to stand our ground, in love, against all wickedness. We do so not because we are righteous – we are not – but because of Christ’s righteousness in us. As Christ followers, we are to follow Christ. We are to stand for His truths. When we do, and while we may face persecution, He will ultimately honor our faithfulness for His own glory and purpose. How to win the war on religion

Posted on December 26 - from Tea Party Nation

[Ed. note: Our cultures are being stolen, withheld, denied, removed, impeded, prohibited, and even made "illegal"! ]

I believe I know how to save Christianity (and Judaism, too) in America from the atheist onslaught by the Hussein's "Progressives". That last word in the previous sentence is pronounced: KOM .. YOU.. NISTs. But before I tell you my idea, let me refresh our memories a bit. Judeo/Christian religions and Christmas has been under heavy fire for many years in schools, universities, city, county, and state governments, public lands, and in retail stores, too. Atheist organizations and the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) has complained about public property and public funds being used for religious purposes.

Since the Hussein's evil reign, that war has gone extreme. For example, during the 2012 Democratic National Convention, they removed "God" and “Jerusalem” from their platform. Later, they voted to restore those. Three voice votes were taken in a row. All three were clearly against restoring, but after the final vote, the moderator "chose" to proclaim that "the ayes have it." The crowd was extremely displeased with the moderator's prudent choice.

As you all know, there is no such clause in our Constitution as the oft-touted "separation of church and state clause." There is only the First (most important) Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." Yet a tiny minority of people whine about prayers and Nativity Scenes and "God" in the Pledge---and even the Pledge itself! The powerful ACLU promptly responds with free lawsuits. Businesses, educational entities, and local governments cannot afford to pay, so they quickly capitulate. The tiny minority wins! We lose!! That is pronounced like "ooze" with "L" in front, (and, No, No, No, lose is NOT spelled "LOOSE," which would be pronounced like "GOOSE or MOOSE", people. Read more...

The Shepherds Made Haste – So Should We

Posted on December 25 - from BarbWire

[Ed. note: “Tell them there is no heaven?” “No,” says the Devil. “Tell them there is no hell?” “No, not that either,” says the Evil One. “Instead, tell them that there is no hurry. Tell them there is no urgency about those things that matter most,” he says.]

St. Luke’s account says that on that first Christmas shepherds were on a hillside watching their flocks by night, when suddenly, the glory of God shone round about them and an angel appeared. The angel made a stupendous announcement, saying, “Have no fear, for behold I announce to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people; for today there was born for you in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

The shepherds were prompt in their response. They sought out the Christ-child immediately. The Scriptures say that they “came with haste.” The Greek meaning for the word translated “haste” is “they jumped the walls on their way.” Certainly this should be the response of every person to the gospel message – don’t delay – make haste.

There is built into life an element of urgency concerning the things that really matter. Some things should just never be put off. Read more...

Gun Control Does Not Solve the Problem of Evil

Posted on December 24 - from The Truth Dispatch

[Ed. note: As with most of the problems facing our country today, they are not government problems, social problems, economic problems... they are spiritual problems.]

Violence in general, but specifically where guns were used and it resulted in the death of innocent life, is a tragedy. Anyone who minimizes the tragedy has problems. However, gun control does not solve the problem of sin and evil in the world. Gun control only empowers those who should not have a gun to have a gun. More importantly, gun control empowers the government to exercise control over its unarmed subjects and suppress their freedoms.

Although Texas has the image of being this pro-gun and pro-Second Amendment state, it is one of the few states with an outright ban on open carry of handguns. However, because of President Barack Obama’s assault on gun rights and his unconstitutional gun control executive orders, Texans have been pushing for open carry. Texas would be the largest state in America to allow the open carry of handguns if the 1870’s ban is repealed.

The guns are not the problem of gun violence that has taken place in recent years. In fact, “gun violence” is a misnomer. The gun did not kill innocent life and it did not make the shooter kill innocent life. The problem is the mental and spiritual health of the shooters. If we truly want to see gun violence go down, then we should protect the right of every responsible American to keep and bear arms. Read more...

Here’s an Obamacare Christmas Present Enrollees weren’t Expecting

Posted on December 23 - from Sons of Liberty

[Ed. note: “With all due respect to the Jonathan Grubers of the world, the American people are smarter than this-they know this isn’t right.”]

So, if you were stupid enough (and yes, I meant that) to go to the utter failure that is the Obamacare website, Healthcare.gov, last year and sign up for the welfare health care insurance the Obama administration promoted, then you’re in for a Christmas surprise. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Servies (CMS) have decided to take it upon themselves to re-enroll you, but there’s a catch. They’ll enroll you in a cheaper plan of their choosing, not yours.

Representative Mark Meadows (R-NC) wrote at the Washington Times:

That’s right, the government will choose your plan, perhaps limit access to your doctor, and ultimately make the decision on what is “best” for you.

Not to worry, just like Lady Justice, who wears a blindfold when determining guilt or innocence, CMS will use a blindfold to pick your plan. The agency will select your plan without knowing your medical history. They will do so without knowing if you are currently undergoing treatment or working with a specific doctor. They will do so without knowing your financial status. Despite the fact that the millions of people who already enrolled chose the plan that they believed was best for them.

CMS has laid the perfect trap: Sign up at healthcare.gov one time in your life and we will never let you go. If you don’t continually re-enroll each and every year, CMS will keep you on the plan that it chooses because, after all, CMS knows what’s best and they always make the best decision. Oh, and if you don’t believe that, please go to the 600 million dollar website that will give you all kinds of testimonials handcrafted by MIT professors. Read more...

Activists Attack Legislator Who Thinks Fathers Should Have a Say in Abortion

Posted on December 22 - from LifeNews

[Ed. note: Recognizing the rights and responsibilities of both parties involved.]

On December 3, a new pro-life bill was filed in the Missouri legislature by pro-life Representative Rick Brattin.

The bill states, “No abortion shall be performed or induced unless and until the father of the unborn child provides written, notarized consent to the abortion, except in cases in which the woman upon whom the abortion is to be performed or induced was the victim of rape or incest and the pregnancy resulted from the rape or incest. If the father of the unborn child is deceased, the woman upon whom the abortion is to be performed or induced shall sign a notarized affidavit attesting to the fact.”

According to the Daily Mail, Rep. Brattin started considering the bill after he went in for a vasectomy and had to obtain a written consent from his wife. He and his wife, Athena, have five children together. The representative said he hopes the bill prevents women from using abortions as a form of contraception, and that he has motivated in part by male friends whose partners had abortions without telling them first. BREAKING: Movement to Kick Out John Boehner Gets Some VERY Good News

Posted on December 20 - from Conservative Tribune

[Ed. note: It is time to stop thinking of John Boehner and the rest of the Republican congressional leadership as being cowardly and recognize them for what they are: part of The Ruling Class that believes it has the right to tell the rest of us how to live.]

American voters are growing increasingly tired of establishment RINOs — Republicans In Name Only. The latest target of the frustration is Speaker of the House John Boehner, who is accused of being out of touch with true conservatives in the country.

A campaign to oust Boehner has already received over 250,000 supporters in less than 48 hours. The “Don’t be Yellow: Dump Boehner Now” campaign encourages voters to send letters to their representatives in Congress asking them to reject Boehner and choose a new speaker of the House.

“It appears this campaign will generate millions of letters by the time Boehner reconvenes the House,” said Joseph Farah, who is behind the campaign.

“Will that have an impact on his fate? It will unless Republican House members have a political tin ear and can’t tell which way the wind is blowing,” he added.

Boehner’s critics view him as an establishment politician who is more interested in backdoor deals and cronyism than fighting for liberty. Read more...

Are Those Being Aborted Our Neighbors?

Posted on December 18 - from Break Point

[Ed. note: If so, are we loving them as ourselves?]

The apocryphal story is told of a man who, hearing Christ's reply to the Pharisees regarding the Greatest Commandment, and having purer motives than they, subsequently went to Jesus for further clarification.

“Master,” he said, “I really do want to please God. I want to love Him with all my heart, soul, mind, and might. How, practically speaking, do I do that?”

As the story goes, the Lord looked at him and, perceiving that he really was in earnest, said, “The First and Greatest Commandment is fulfilled by obeying the Second Commandment, which is like the First. You demonstrate that you indeed love God when you go and love your neighbor as yourself. The one who says he loves God whom he has not seen, but does not love his neighbor whom he has seen, deceives himself. In truth he loves neither. But the one who, for God's sake, loves his neighbor as himself, loves both his neighbor and God. For God loves your neighbor—indeed, He loves even your enemy—and if you also love your neighbor, then you honor God by loving what He loves. But if you do not love your neighbor like God loves him, then neither do you love God. That is why I said the Second Commandment is like the First, and why I said on these two Commandments hang all the Law and prophets. Read more...

James Madison: How to stop the federal government

Posted on December 17 - from Personal Liberty

[Ed. note: The powerful means that Madison told us would be used to oppose federal power successfully did not include federal lawsuits in federal courts.]

Today is the anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights: Dec. 15, 1791. And while Tenth Amendment Center believes it’s important to study and learn about the history and other trivia that will be shared in the media, we believe it’s even more important to learn and share what needs to be done to stop the endless violation of virtually every part of the Constitution.

In response to federal overreach, most people tend to focus on three types of actions to stop them: elections, conventions and lawsuits. While they all have their place in an overall strategy to defend the Constitution, none of them should be the first step forward. That is, if you follow the advice of the “Father of the Constitution.”

Here’s what James Madison had to say in “Federalist No. 46” (The Influence of the State and Federal Governments Compared):

Should an unwarrantable measure of the federal government be unpopular in particular States, which would seldom fail to be the case, or even a warrantable measure be so, which may sometimes be the case, the means of opposition to it are powerful and at hand. The disquietude of the people; their repugnance and, perhaps refusal to cooperate with officers of the Union, the frowns of the executive magistracy of the State; the embarrassment created by legislative devices, which would often be added on such occasions, would oppose, in any State, very serious impediments; and were the sentiments of several adjoining States happen to be in Union, would present obstructions which the federal government would hardly be willing to encounter. The First 10 Amendments to the Constitution as Ratified by the States

Posted on December 15 - from Congress of the United States

[Ed. note: Since this is the 223rd anniversary of the implementation of the Bill of Rights, it would be appropriate to read through the original words of the founders rather than take the word of leftist politicians and judges.]

THE Conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best insure the beneficent ends of its institution.

RESOLVED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, two thirds of both Houses concurring, that the following Articles be proposed to the Legislatures of the several States, as Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, all or any of which Articles, when ratified by three fourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of the said Constitution; viz.:

"The Beat Goes On"

Posted on December 12 - from Chuck Baldwin

[Ed. note: The American people are being played by D.C.’s “game makers” the way Katniss and Peeta are played in “The Hunger Games” movies.]

The hit song by Sonny and Cher is an apt description of what happens in Washington, D.C. I’m referring to their Top 10 hit song, “The Beat Goes On.” No matter which party controls Congress, the beat goes on. No matter which party’s candidate is elected President, the beat goes on. Rhetoric and campaign promises notwithstanding, the beat goes on.

Here is how the “Potomac Shuffle” is played: Democrats openly and boldly promote Big Government. Oh, it’s masked under the rubric of “compassion,” of course. But there is little doubt that the modern Democrat Party is known far and wide as the party of Big Government. And when they are elected, they keep their word and implement big-government policies.

At some point, the American people awaken to the draconian nature of the big-government policies implemented by Democrats and demand a return to smaller government. The Republican Party is there to answer the bell. They postulate “conservative” ideals and loudly proclaim themselves to be the champions of smaller government and individual liberty. The message of smaller government resonates with voters and Republicans are swept to large victories in national elections. However, instead of reversing the big-government policies that had been passed by Democrats, the newly-ensconced GOP leadership actually SOLIDIFIES those policies. And, as they say, the beat goes on. Conservatives Need to Re-establish Control of Party and Nation

Posted on December 10 - from GOPUSA

[Ed. note: Events of recent days show this to be more true than ever.]

I am concerned that certain Republicans just can't take yes for an answer. To borrow an old adage, they can't handle prosperity -- with prosperity being defined as the voters rejecting Obama's agenda (and thereby embracing theirs).

This is partly because of the fact that many grass-roots conservatives mistakenly believe that their only obstacle to moving a conservative agenda forward in Washington is the so-called Republican establishment -- GOP centrist politicians and their institutional supporters. But I believe it's more than that.

It's not just these GOP congressmen, the party organizations, the party fundraising groups and right-leaning pollsters, few and far between as they are, that stand in the way of a mainstream conservative agenda. It's also a great segment of influential Beltway conservative pundits and commentators. And it's a substantial percentage of Republican voters, some of whose loyalty is stronger to the party than to conservative policy, and others who are just dazzled and deceived by the moderate punditry and the seductive wooing of Republican incumbents who sidle up to constituents during campaign season and pretend to be far more conservative than they are. Profiling: Sin or Survival Instinct

Posted on December 8 - from Tea Party Nation

[Ed. note: Liberals expect us to ignore all signals sent out by people that telegraph who they are. Liberals are nuts.]

It was after dark. I was taking a short cut to the convenience store through an alley. Ahead of me, a middle-aged white woman was walking down a side street and started to enter the alley. Upon realizing that I would be walking behind her, she made a quick turn out of the alley. Once inside the convenience store, I saw the woman come in. We were headed to the same destination, but she chose to take a different route.

As a black man, should I be offended for being racially profiled? Well guess what? The night before, a late night craving sent me headed to the convenience store down that same alley. A block away, I saw a white guy as he began to enter the alley. He and I would eventually cross paths. I immediately did a quick turn out of the alley. It was late and dark, without another single soul in sight.

Common sense dictated that I not unnecessarily put myself in a vulnerable situation. The white woman who chose to change her direction made the same wise decision. Does that make us both racists? No. It means we both used our brains and instincts to protect ourselves.

And yet, liberals who are obsessed with political correctness absurdly condemn such street-smart judgments, declaring them racial profiling and racist. Read more...

Federal Reserve enslaves us

Posted on December 6 - from Conservative News and Views

[Ed. note: The government does not own the Federal Reserve system, and never did. The Federal Reserve is a closely held corporation, with other corporations holding all the shares among them.]

The Federal Reserve System has stood for more than a hundred years. It has in that time held the citizens and lawful residents of the United States in the gentlest kind of slavery. (For what slavery is more gentle than the kind people don’t even recognize as such?) Gentle it may be, but slavery is still slavery. And that slavery extends worldwide, wherever anyone holds or accepts United States dollars. But few realize that the Federal Reserve System is not a government entity. It is a public-private partnership. A partnership having its founding basis in fraud.

Where the Federal Reserve came from

James Corbett makes a well-documented case. In an hour-and-a-half documentary he narrates the beginning of the Federal Reserve. In a scene out of a movie, that history began in a private rail car with shaded windows. Corbett even names names: J. Pierpont Morgan (whose company still stands as J. P. Morgan-Chase). Senator Nelson W. Aldrich (R-R.I.), the “General Manager of the Nation” (and father-in-law to John D. Rockefeller, Jr., and grandfather to Nelson Aldrich “Rocky” Rockefeller, Governor of New York State and Vice-President of the United States).

Joining [Senator Aldrich] that evening was his private secretary, Shelton, and a who’s who of the nation’s banking and financial élite: A. Piatt Andrew, the Assistant Treasury Secretary; Frank Vanderlip, President of the National City Bank of New York; Henry P. Davison, a senior partner of J.P. Morgan Company; Benjamin Strong, Jr., an associate of J.P. Morgan and President of Bankers Trust Co., and Paul Warburg, heir of the Warburg banking family and son-in-law of Solomon Loeb of the famed New York investment firm, Kuhn, Loeb & Company. Some newly insured still struggle to pay for healthcare

Posted on December 5 - from Personal Liberty

[Ed. note: These people, even though they have access to some form of insurance, really do not have healthcare.]

For Martha Gruberman, a 63-year-old resident of Steger, Illinois, obtaining health insurance through the Affordable Care Act hasn’t made it any easier to pay for routine medical care.

A plan she chose through the federal marketplace requires her to pay $5,000 toward medical costs before her insurer contributes anything. With an income of about $22,000, she doesn’t expect to hit that mark.

“I’m never going to use it,” she said. “I can’t use it. I can’t afford it.”

Gruberman and others who picked plans with the lowest monthly costs have found that medical care is still out of reach because of the plans’ high deductibles. As a result, many consumers with high-deductible plans are following old habits: delaying care or taking their needs to community health centers that have traditionally served the uninsured, local health administrators said. The Unapologetic Dictator and a Useless Congress

Posted on December 4 - from Erik Rush

[Ed. note: The more latitude that Obama takes however, I can’t help but wonder just how many of those in our government who decry these developments are only doing so as an empty gesture, and providing token resistance to the onslaught of totalitarianism in order to keep conscientious Americans at bay.]

There has been some outfreakage regarding an incident in which President Obama responded to hecklers in Chicago last week at one of his tedious speeches. Apparently, he was in the Windy City to drum up support for his new immigration measures.

A heckler piped up and yelled “You have been deporting families.”

To which Obama responded, “What you’re not paying attention to is the fact that I just took an action to change the law, so that’s point No. 1.”

“I just took an action to change the law…” This is of course the statement upon which some pundits have seized – and it is significant. It is a tacit admission by Obama that he executed an illegal decree. He is not legally authorized to “change law” any more than you or I.

Still, he didn’t seem to have a problem verbalizing this; it was not perceived as a gaffe by the White House or the establishment press, and there were no attempts made to back-pedal the statement. Read more...

Christ’s Promise of Persecution

Posted on December 3 - from Sons of Liberty

[Ed. note: Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. Matthew 24:9]

Classic books like Foxe’s Book of Martyrs and more recent books such as Jesus Freaks have documented a wide variety of past heroes of the faith who would rather be ostracized, tortured and killed than deny their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Worldwide persecution of believers is multiplying. From the murder of the Bible Society’s bookshop manager Rami Ayyad in Gaza, to attacks by Salafi Muslims on Christian school children in Egypt riding home on their bus, to beheadings of believers by ISIS in Syria and Iraq, to treachery by witches against believers in the workplaces of America, the venom of Satan is being spewed out profusely against those who follow Christ.

Thousands of men, women and children are being attacked, tortured, raped and slaughtered in northern Nigeria by Boko Haram. Demonically inspired Imams in the U.S. and abroad are stirring up hatred and rage against believers in Jesus. Read more...

The Myth of Homosexuality in Nature

Posted on December 2 - from Barb Wire

[Ed. note: If we are going to remain true to science, reason and common sense, we must reject the “animals-are-homosexual-so-it-is-normal” propaganda. It is also illogical to base our morals on animal behavior.]

It is imperative for advocates of same-sex marriage to “normalize” homosexuality. One rationale used to promote this is to proclaim that it exists in the animal kingdom, so it must be part of nature. According to this thinking, since homosexual behaviors are purportedly seen among animals, we would expect a portion of humans to be homosexual also. Furthermore, the propagandists say, attempts to restrict its full expression would be going against nature itself! In this view, homosexuality is simply one sexual variation among many occurring “naturally” throughout the animal kingdom, so we should conclude that homosexuality is commonplace and “normal.”

The “animal homosexuality” propaganda can be summarized in the following manner:

1. Animal behaviors are determined by nature, specifically by their instincts.

2. It is “natural” for animals to follow their instincts; it accords with nature itself.

3. A portion of virtually all species engage in homosexual behavior.

4. Therefore, homosexuality accords with instinctual nature and must be part of nature itself.

5. We are animals, so it follows that homosexuality in humans is perfectly natural.

But this “animal homosexuality” agitprop is not only replete with logical flaws but is based on a number of distortions and myths. Read more...

America’s Christians; Rise Up or Face Destruction

Posted on December 1 - from Crows Nest Politics

[Ed. note: Not only our destruction - which is bad enough - but eternal destruction of those who need to hear the Word. It's not just about us!]

ROMANS 8:28-And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in time of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality”. Dante Alighieri

How many times in the last 6 years have you (as a Christian) had a conversation with a friend that began something along these lines? “Oh George; Can you believe how far our nation has sunk”? “Remember when we were kids and we used to say the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning and the Principle came on the speaker and we had a prayer before class started, what has happened to our nation”? Conversations such as these have been transpiring by the millions over the past 5-6 years across America.

America is now beginning to reflect about our status at many levels. We as a nation are now beginning to take inventory of our very soul as a nation and we are not liking what we are seeing.

As a Christian myself, I am honestly horrified as most of you are about the decline in our moral fiber as a nation. Where has the character gone of our people? Where has the morality gone? Where has the resolve for goodness gone?

What was once a clear defining between right and wrong has been replaced with “He wouldn’t have robbed that store had he not been hungry and living in a ghetto”. “It’s not his fault, he is a victim of his circumstances”. This is rationalization for evil. I know it, you know it, but society has begun approving of it.

Ferguson, Missouri is a clear example of how far we have fallen as a society. One young man stands on national television and tells a tale (bald-faced lie) about the incident involving Mike Brown and the Officer. This one lie was the fuel needed for an entire community to rise up, invite professional agitators in and burn a city down. And nothing will be done about it. Nothing will be done because these people are angry at a Grand Jury verdict that they disagree with. Therefor it is o.k. to loot, burn, and destroy private property. All because I am upset because I am a victim. Read more...

6 Thanksgiving Truths for Non-Religious People

Posted on November 27 - from BarbWire

[Ed. note: So stuff yourself at God’s table! Consume the sacrifice of Christ’s death and resurrection by believing it and betting your life on it. Taste Christ’s love, and see how good God is.]

How should a non-Christian society celebrate Thanksgiving?

In our culture, we make Thanksgiving about enjoying life’s blessings more than really thanking God for them. To continue to call the day “thanksgiving” in a secular culture doesn’t make a lot of sense.

So why did one famous Christian talk about thanksgiving every time he was talking about theology with non-religious people?

In the Bible, Acts 14 records the Apostle Paul’s unusual encounter with the ancient city of Lystra. Paul was trying to explain who Jesus is, but the audience becomes so enthralled with Paul’s eloquence that they start worshipping him as a god. There’s a major disconnect in Lystran thinking—they believe in a pantheon of cranky gods who demand sacrifices from us, whereas Paul is explaining the true God sacrificed himself to save us. Deafening Silence after Obama Buddy & HRC Founder Charged with Rape of 15-Year-Old Boy

Posted on November 25 - from Sons of Liberty

[Ed. note: It is outrageous and tragic that the founder of the largest gay activist organization in the world is molesting boys...]

“It seems to me that in the gay community the people who should be running interference for NAM/BLA are the parents and friends of gays. Because if the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what 13-, 14-, and 15-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world.” – Harry Hay, founder of the modern “gay rights” movement

None of it matters: Neither common sense, nor an abundance of victim testimony, peer-reviewed studies, nor their own loathsome admissions and actions. Nothing will move secular-“progressives” to acknowledge the undeniable interplay between homosexuality and childhood sexual abuse.

Whether it’s boy-raping “gay” priests, or boy-raping “gay” activists, the problem is systemic. Homosexual predators are targeting our boys.

You listening, Boy Scouts of America?

So here we go again. Yet another high-profile “gay” activist has been arrested for homosexual assault on a child. This time authorities bagged a big fish (a rainbow trout?) in boy-loving real estate mogul Terrence Patrick Bean. Bean co-founded the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), which is one of the world’s largest, wealthiest and most powerful anti-Christian, pro-homosexual organizations. Bean is also a major bundler for the DNC and BFFs with Barack and Michelle Obama. He helped found HRC for the sole purpose of pushing the extremist homosexual political agenda. While, not surprisingly, HRC rushed to scrub its website of any reference to his existence, even now Bean remains on this extremist group’s board of directors. Read more...

GOP Cowards

Posted on November 24 - from TownHall

[Ed. note: Republican leaders are afraid of their big business benefactors who love cheap labor and who applauded the President’s action.]

As time goes on, President Obama is becoming much more provocative with the GOP. For example, he met with congressional Democrats, but no Republicans, then announced his long awaited plan for executive amnesty, giving 5 million illegal immigrants a pathway to work permits and relief from possible deportation for 3 years. After getting shellacked in the mid-terms, Obama has not compromised with Republicans, he moved further to the political left.

It was an audacious announcement that was both unconstitutional and confrontational. It circumvented Congress, and their vital role in this issue, and was, thus, radically different from the last time amnesty was given to illegal immigrants. In 1986, President Reagan did not issue an executive order on illegal immigration; he signed a bill passed by Congress.

Sadly, this President does not care what Congress thinks or does. He has no interest in meeting or working with them. Whether he is acting like a tyrant or an emperor, it is clear that he is not acting in conjunction with Congress.

Now, the $64 billion question is what should the GOP leadership in Congress do? They have several options, such as impeachment, lawsuits or defunding all of the activities associated with this executive action. The least attractive option is to do nothing, but that is what happened today when the congressional Republicans boarded planes and left town. Read more...

Impeach The Emperor O – The Only Real Answer to Executive Amnesty

Posted on November 22 - from BarbWire

[Ed. note: In every election, the GOP counts on the middle class being so terrified by the Party of Plunder that they’ll rush to embrace Republicans regardless of what GOP candidates say or do. But Middle American fear of the Democrats is an account that can’t be drawn on indefinitely.]

In the past, I’ve advised against trying to impeach the reprobate-in-chief. It seemed futile and self-defeating. I’ve changed my mind.

Whether or not it succeeds, it’s the only way for Republicans to show that they’re serious about stopping a president who’s like a car without brakes barreling down a mountainside – smashing the Constitution and running over representative government.

Congressional Republicans, led by the Indomitable John Boehner and Stalwart Mitch McConnell, are said to be considering such drastic measures as – have mercy! – suing Obama. Other suggested remedies include denying funding to programs which would oversee the amnesty and refusing to pass a continuing resolution on spending.

McConnell, who’s already said he won’t use the power of the purse to counter the presidential diktat, says that if Obama treats Congress like an advisory board here, he will “poison the well.” Such nancy-boy talk must make the president quake in his jackboots. Read more...

Choosing bondage

Posted on November 21 - from Conservative News and Views

[Ed. note: if God should decide to save America, the saving message must come from the pulpits. Not only must they restore hope to the hopeless, they must restore the voice of the church that has been silenced by the 1954 Johnson Amendment.]

The biblical account of the Exodus contains some very interesting protests from people who had been in bondage for over 400 years. After being delivered from pharaoh’s whips and witnessing incredible miracles, the Hebrews complained about only having manna to eat. Considering that they were in the desert and God had supplied for their needs as well as delivering them from the cruelties of pharaoh, you would think that they would be elated to finally be free. However, they looked upon their time of bondage in Egypt with longing since there they had fish and onions. While this complaining can be hard to understand, it makes a certain amount of sense when you consider that all they had ever known was slavery, which included a large degree of dependency. They did what they were told or they suffered the consequences, but their food and shelter was provided. Dreams were non-existent but neither was there pressure to get ahead and provide for one’s family. As odd as it may seem, this co-dependency between pharaoh and the slaves provided a strange comfort zone. To be sure, life was hard for the Hebrew slaves, but as we learned during their time in the desert, some preferred bondage to pharaoh and dependency on him over the unknown of striking out on their own.

On the other hand, our Founding Fathers grew up in an America where liberty reigned – at least until an overly ambitious king realized he could flex his muscles and impose unjustified regulations and taxes upon them. To a people who only knew liberty, risking all they had to defend their freedom was preferable to living under the heavy hand of a tyrant. Patrick Henry’s famous speech clearly and passionately stated that life is not so dear and peace is not so sweet as to be bought at the price of chains and slavery. However, some of the slaves in America as the slaves in Egypt also found comfort in living a dependent life. After the Civil War and their emancipation, many chose to stay on the plantations instead of facing the unknown. While we assume life would have been better for them after the Civil War, very little is recorded about their lives on the plantation during that period of time. Unfortunately, we do know that Blacks were persecuted in the South well into the 20th century, but still many chose to stay. Read more...

FBI Report: Americans Less Violent Than Ever, Except for Police

Posted on November 20 - from The Liberty Crier

[Ed. note: An interesting angle is that while crime was decreasing, gun sales soared across the country, which seems to support the idea that more people owning guns actually contributes to making society a safer place.]

According to new FBI statistics released this week, violent crime rates in the US fell over 4% in the past year alone, bringing the amount of violent crimes lower than it has been in nearly 40 years. The statistics showed that there were an estimated 1.16 million violent crimes in the year of 2013, which is the lowest number since 1978, when 1.09 million were recorded.

Broken down, the report revealed that manslaughter dropped by 4.4% to 14,196, the lowest rate since 1968, while instances of rape were down 6.3%. Despite the tough economic times, robbery is also down by 2.8% and property crimes were down by 4.1%.

The violent crime rate has been steadily declining since 1994, but the prison population has continued to increase over the decades. There are currently over two and a half million people imprisoned in the US, which is by far the largest prison population in the world.

However, a study recently published by Pew Charitable Trusts showed that for the first time in decades, the US prison population is actually on a decline. Their research found that the drop in crime that was seen in 2013 actually coincided with a decline in the prison population. According to their data, the amount of people in the US prison system peaked in 2008, and has since dropped 6%. Read more...

Marine Corps veteran says criticism of Islam made him homeless

Posted on November 19 - from examiner.com

[Ed. note: Honesty can carry a price, but doing the right thing is still doing the right thing.]

Like so many Americans, Jarrad Winter didn't pay much attention to Islam. Now, it's foremost on his mind. In an exclusive interview with Examiner.com Sunday evening, Winter, a Marine Corps veteran, single father of two boys and a computer programming specialist who runs FatwahonIslam.com, says he is now homeless because he openly criticizes Islam.

It wasn't until the South Park creators were threatened by a Muslim that he felt the need to study Islam, he told Examiner. In 2010, Jesse Curtis Morton -- a Muslim convert also known as Younus Abdullah Mohammad -- plead guilty to communicating threats to South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

Not long after that, Winter said he was threatened with death, and that lead to him work very briefly as an informant. At the same time, he worked for another company that suddenly let him go after four years. After receiving a $20,000 bonus, his position was eliminated, he said, with no explanation and no warning. Lame-duck Congress may lay golden eggs for crony capitalists

Posted on November 17 - from Washington Times

[Ed. note: This would not be a problem if the people in Washington would actually represent the people rather than the donors and special interests.]

The lame-duck Congress that will meet after the Nov. 4 election could lay a few golden eggs that will hatch into a new flock of crony capitalist ducklings. The gold would actually come from taxpayers. The politically well-connected are especially eager about an $18 billion giveaway to wind farms, a tax credit that benefits mostly millionaires and billionaires.

That program often enriches benefactors of leftist groups, but others have jumped on the money bandwagon, too. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is said to be ready to push the wind power subsidies when Congress reconvenes after the election. Supporters want to avoid leaving the decisions to be made by more conservative lawmakers taking office in January.

The “temporary” tax credit for turning wind into electricity was supposed to be a 5-year incentive when it was created in 1992. Eight extensions have kept its blades turning since then, until the credit finally expired on Dec. 31, 2013. Now the push is on to renew it retroactively for five more years, costing the Treasury $18 billion. Read more...

Free market undermines climate change voodoo

Posted on November 14 - from Tea Party Nation

[Ed. note: The nation will naturally divide over different visions of how to answer the questions the Constitution only raises, often along party lines.]

James Carroll of the Boston Globe claims “97% of climate scientists say climate change is real.” Does that really mean anything? Climate change has become an industry much like the nuclear winter warnings during the Cold War. At that time, scientists built models showing the dire consequences of a nuclear showdown and screamed to all audiences that it was sure to cause mutual disaster. When the Cold War ended, these scientists reluctantly abandoned their lucrative industry.

Now it seems those scientists have joined up with the environmental movement to warn of global warming. Nobody wants excessive environmental degradation. A key component of free market advocates is not to harm others as you undertake your own life journey. Free market backers do not support degrading fresh drinking water or abuses by tyrants against others.

The current global warming movement has its roots in the anti capitalist, anti monopoly movements that arose at the same time Standard Oil and Rockefeller emerged. No one had ever seen such immense wealth. These movements united under one umbrella and forced Washington to break up monopolies such as Standard oil.

Free market thought opposes monopolies because they are inefficient. Competition spurs efficiency. With free market competition, an inefficient monopoly cannot seek government assistance to fight more innovative companies bringing replacement technology and industry to the sector. Read more...

Reading the Midterm Tea Leaves

Posted on November 12 - from Federalist Today

[Ed. note: The nation will naturally divide over different visions of how to answer the questions the Constitution only raises, often along party lines.]

Making sense of election results has become a second election of sorts in contemporary politics. No one could have welcomed a second bite at the apple more than President Obama, who went from out-of-demand campaign surrogate to political pundit-in-chief overnight. While claiming he didn’t “want to read the tea leaves,” the president nevertheless announced his verdict on the midterm election:

The American people overwhelmingly believe that this town doesn’t work well, and that it is not attentive to their needs. And as president, they rightly hold me accountable to do more to make it work properly . . . They want me to push hard to close some of these divisions, break through some of the gridlock, and get stuff done.

No one could blame President Obama for doing his part to make post-election coverage exciting. One of the responsibilities Americans have given their presidents is to chime in as quickly as possible on everything under the sun. And no leader in American history has paid more attention to the American people’s entertainment needs than the president–from March Madness picks on ESPN to the dangers of Pop Warner football and his wife’s night at the Oscars. Pastor: I’d go to jail before funding abortion

Posted on November 11 - from Conservative Tribune

[Ed. note: The real question is: why is it only seven pastors standing against this evil in our land?]

On a Sunday morning, congregants fill the campus of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, a non-denominational evangelical church located in the heart of Southern California. Since the church’s inception, Senior Pastor Jack Hibbs – a strong pro-life proponent – has encouraged his congregation to uphold religious values and fundamental liberties in the public square. Now, the church is opposing a California mandate egregiously imposed on religious institutions across the Golden State. The congregation is challenging a decision by the California Department of Managed Healthcare that forces all employers, including churches, to provide coverage for elective abortions in all health insurance plans.

“I felt violated; I felt forced,” Hibbs said in response to the abortion mandate. “I love America and I love American history, and I have a lot of invested interest in defending the unborn. I see the Constitution under attack, and I see my religious freedom under attack.”

In an interview with Live Action, Hibbs said the DMHC’s decision is a flagrant violation of the right of churches and pastors to freely exercise their freedom of conscience. Hibbs and his congregation have joined six other churches across the state in a legal challenge opposing the coercion.

The complaint notes, “DMHC is an arm of the State of California and purports to be interpreting and applying the law of California, a state that receives billions of taxpayer dollars. … California accepted those funds with full knowledge of the requirements of the Weldon Amendment, but it has chosen to ignore this law. The need to remedy this discrimination is urgent because it is immediately depriving Complainants of a health plan that omits elective abortions.” Read more...

The States Could Be About to Begin a Massive Rebellion Against Barack Obama

Posted on November 8 - from Conservative Tribune

[Ed. note: With proper monitoring and encouragement, these newly constituted state legislatures may be the firewall we need to stop Barack Hussein Obama's transformational schemes.]

In a night that just about everyone except Vice President Joe Biden and superhack Debbie Wasserman Schultz publicly admitted was going to amount to a second shellacking of the Democrats by Republicans, Democrats held out hope that they would be able to take solace at the state level by winning key governorships that would help them keep their liberal agenda going. Nope.

Democrats managed to pick up only one governor’s mansion — Pennsylvania — while losing at least four others, according to the (Chicago) Daily Herald. Importantly, incumbent governors won in key swing states like Florida, Michigan, and Ohio as well.

Moreover, Washington Post reporter Reid Wilson said early Wednesday morning that three state legislative chambers had been wrested from Democrat control by the GOP. That puts 62 out of 98 such bodies in Republican hands.

With the GOP taking such control over state government, many are now questioning whether more states will begin to assert their rights under the 10th Amendment and nullify unconstitutional federal actions. Read more...

Posted on November 7 - from Allen B West

[Ed. note: Col. West is correct in his call for constitutionally conservative leadersip in both houses... he is also correct in questioning if the current people are up to the task.]

It was a stunning evening when looked upon in aggregate — Senate, House, and Gubernatorial races — for the GOP. There were races believed to be close that were not — Georgia, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, and Arkansas. There were races believed to not be achievable that were — North Carolina. And there was a race not even considered — Virginia. With all that being said, the American people did indeed send a clear message to Washington DC: get back on track.

Now comes the really hard part and that is to present a legislative agenda promoting growth, opportunity, and promise for America in the face of withering fire. This will not be easy for the GOP as the progressive socialist media will be on the attack everyday.

The Democrats will be tougher in the minority even more so than in the majority and from news accounts, don’t expect President Barack Hussein Obama to change — unlike Bill Clinton after his 1994 midterm debacle and subsequent GOP House and Senate majorities. In reading this Politico article it seems evident that the Obama White House will dig their heels in deeper. And there are already rumors about the blame game happening — Senator Harry Reid’s Chief of Staff fingering Obama. Read more...

Huge Victory as Pro-Life Candidates Win Nationwide, Take Over Senate From Pro-Abortion Democrats

Posted on November 5 - from Life News

[Ed. note: Perhaps the pro-life position is just a basic qualification for office and does not need to be the center piece of a campaign.]

In a landslide election that saw pro-life candidates winning across the nation, pro-life advocates have been able to take over the Senate from pro-abortion Democrats, led by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Harry Reid’s days as the pro-abortion leader of the U.S. Senate are now numbered as pro-life candidates picked up enough seats to take over the Senate.

Reid has done pro-abortion President Barack Obama’s bidding and ensured that abortion-funding Obamacare was passed through on a party-line vote, with not a single Republican voting in favor of the legislation. Reid made sure that no pro-life bills received a vote in the Senate — including measures to stop taxpayer funding of abortions and a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks, when unborn babies can feel pain.

Republicans picked up seats in Montana, where pro-life Rep. Steve Daines was a winner and West Virginia, where Rep. Shelley Moore Capito votes 100% pro-life. Read more...

Black Sheriff Says if Black Lives Mattered They’d Protest at Abortion Clinics

[Ed. note: Are the "leaders" of the Republican Party really deserving of such a distinction?" And, assuming they are not, "how can Republicans best dislodge them?"]

Is the GOP field actually in the process of being chosen for us?

To listen to Republican insider, Peter Wehner, you would think that it is!

Please visit www.eaglesforamerica.com Go to Jeff's blog. Today's post takes a look at the potential GOP Presidential field, through Wehner's eyes. As expected, Jeb Bush tops the list. What may come as a surprise is how Wehner's crowd (which includes George Will and Bill Kristol), fear that Democrats may pass on Hillary Clinton.

Amazingly, there may be as many Dems not wanting Mrs. Clinton as Republicans saying "nyet" to a Jeb Bush candidacy. Could it be that America is simply tired of the status quo?

NSA waits until Christmas Eve to reveal a decade’s worth of its mistakes

Posted on December 29 - from Liberty Crier

[Ed. note: With the redactions, it is difficult to tell exactly how sensitive information was when it was accessed "in error."]

The National Security Agency went all out on a Christmas gift this year: a decade’s worth of declassified documents on the unauthorized surveillance of Americans.

Turns out it’s the NSA that sees you when you’re sleeping, and knows when you’re awake.

The documents were released Wednesday afternoon, in response to an ACLU lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act. They cover the agency’s activities from mid-2001 through early 2013 — and they are heavily redacted.

Even so, the reports detail numerous “errors” over the years as NSA analysts searched through its information databases and accessed the communications of Americans, which is prohibited.

“The vast majority of compliance incidents involve unintentional technical or human error,” the NSA said in the executive summary. Read more...

Supreme Court Rules 8-1 Citizens Have No Protection Against Police Ignorant of the Law

Posted on December 27 - from Sons of Liberty

[Ed. note: Surprisingly, one of Barack Obama's minions was the only one who stood up for limiting the authority of government.]

In a blow to the constitutional rights of citizens, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 8-1 in Heien v. State of North Carolina that police officers are permitted to violate American citizens’ Fourth Amendment rights if the violation results from a “reasonable” mistake about the law on the part of police. Acting contrary to the venerable principle that “ignorance of the law is no excuse,” the Court ruled that evidence obtained by police during a traffic stop that was not legally justified can be used to prosecute the person if police were reasonably mistaken that the person had violated the law. The Rutherford Institute had asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hold law enforcement officials accountable to knowing and abiding by the rule of law. Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the Court’s lone dissenter, warned that the court’s ruling “means further eroding the Fourth Amendment’s protection of civil liberties in a context where that protection has already been worn down.”

“By refusing to hold police accountable to knowing and abiding by the rule of law, the Supreme Court has given government officials a green light to routinely violate the law,” said John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute and author of the award-winning book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State. “This case may have started out with an improper traffic stop, but where it will end—given the turbulence of our age, with its police overreach, military training drills on American soil, domestic surveillance, SWAT team raids, asset forfeiture, wrongful convictions, and corporate corruption—is not hard to predict. This ruling is what I would call a one-way, nonrefundable ticket to the police state.”

In April 2009, a Surry County (N.C.) law enforcement officer stopped a car traveling on Interstate 77, allegedly because of a brake light which, at first, failed to illuminate and then flickered on. The officer mistakenly believed that state law prohibited driving a car with one broken brake light. In fact, the state traffic law requires only one working brake light. Nevertheless, operating under a mistaken understanding of the law, during the course of the stop, the officer asked for permission to search the car. Nicholas Heien, the owner of the vehicle, granted his consent to a search. Read more...

Coming soon to a city near you: Ferguson

[Ed. note: The riots in Ferguson are simply the beginning. Unfortunately, this is going to get a lot worse. Radical leftists control the administration. They want this outcome.]

The justifiable homicide of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, is simply about one issue.

Race.

Had Michael Brown been white or Darren Wilson been black, this would have been nothing more than a brief story in the St. Louis news.

But instead, the mold for the narrative was there, so facts be damned! All the racial-grievance industry and the radical left needed was a dead black man and a white shooter. It was a bonus for them that Darren Wilson happened to be a cop.

The evidence is overwhelming that in the last minutes of his life, Michael Brown robbed a store. He then attacked a police officer and had Darren Wilson lost consciousness from Mr. Brown’s blows to his head, there would probably be another name on the police memorial in Washington, D.C. The Greatest Story Ever Told

[Ed. note: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon[a] his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 ESV]

In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Read more...

Gun Control Cultist Calls For Children To Steal Parents’ Firearms, Bring Them To Schools

Posted on December 24 - from Bearing Arms

[Ed. note: Any kid who follows this advice would face the possibility of felony criminal record and mandatory expulsion from his school.]

Director Rejina Sincic has created a disturbing video, advocating that teens commits multiple felonies—several of which could lead to injury or death through negligent discharge of the weapon—because of her own hysterical, irrational fear of firearms.

In the video, a boy steals an unholstered (presumably loaded) firearm from his mother’s room, drops it unsecured into his bookbag, and then carries it to school. After class the boy pulls the pistol out of his bookbag and puts it on his startled teacher’s desk, saying, “Can you take this away? I don’t feel safe with a gun in my house.”

In the real world, such an act would result in the boy facing numerous felony charges (exact charges depend on state laws) possibly including weapons theft, unlawful possession of a weapon by a minor, illegal concealed carry of a weapon, carrying a weapon onto school property, assault, and brandishing. Former Russian Finance Minister: 'We Have Entered Full-Fledged Economic Crisis'

[Ed. note: The Russian economy is in serious trouble... that is not good for them or for us. But it is no surprise to the one who is in control.]

Russia's government has pushed the country into an economic crisis by not tackling its financial problems fast enough, former finance minister Alexei Kudrin said on Monday, warning the full effects would be felt next year.

Kudrin — a darling of investors who is credited with building Russia's $170 billion worth of sovereign wealth funds — added that sanctions over Ukraine, not falling oil prices, were primarily behind the collapse of the ruble and warned that Russia risked seeing its debt downgraded to junk status in 2015.

"Today, I can say that we have entered or are entering a real, full-fledged economic crisis. Next year we will feel it clearly," the former minister told a news conference.

Different standards for 'gay' bakers and Christian bakers

Posted on December 22 - from GOPUSA

[Ed. note: When Shoebat.com set out and contacted 13 popular bakers that publicly support same-sex marriage, requesting them to bake a cake displaying the message, "Gay marriage is wrong," a less-than-tolerant response was invoked.]

With numerous lawsuits being filed against Christian bakers over the past few years for respectfully declining to compromise their conscience by not filling orders for "gay" or lesbian marriage wedding cakes, a bit of irony recently surfaced when the tables were switched on the LGBT community — when pro-homosexual bakers were asked to make cakes opposing their cause.

With the objective of revealing if tolerance, anti-bigotry and compassion are really at the heart of the homosexual agenda when it comes to same-sex "marriage," Shoebat.com made some not-so-startling observations about those who profess to stand for open-mindedness and acceptance.

Testing their true spirit, Theodore Shoebat set out on a quest with his website crew to see how bakers advocating homosexual behavior respond when asked to bake a cake for those who don't reflect their progressive views on homosexuality. But before going into their findings, Shoebat showcased the sheer lack of tolerance that lawsuits and subsequent rulings have demonstrated against those who refuse to support the homosexual agenda due to their sincerely held religious convictions. Are You Mad Yet?

[Ed. note: What kind of party leadership do we have, when they refuse to defend the Constitution, and thus allow President Obama to get away with an unlawful amnesty for at least five million illegal immigrant workers?]

In the poem, “The Masque of Pandora,” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow has Prometheus saying, “Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.” Accordingly, the would-be gods in the GOP leadership in Washington, D.C., must have rank-and-file Republicans slated for destruction, because they are MAD--and for good reason.

In an open letter, long-time Republican activist, Mike Scruggs, wrote, “I have been a Republican County Chairman in both North Carolina and Alabama. I have served countless hard-working hours as a volunteer for Republican candidates. I am therefore deeply grieved that the Republican Party leadership in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate has seen fit to betray the principles and values of a substantial majority of Republican voters, and the majority of the American people. This last week witnessed both the House and Senate passing budget bills that essentially gave Obama’s unlawful amnesty for five million illegal immigrant workers an effective pass.

Media Ignore Scientific Evidence in ‘Nobody is Born Gay’ Billboard Controversy

Posted on December 18 - from BarbWire

[Ed. note: Camille Paglia, has stated what few homosexual activists dare to admit. “No one is born gay, the idea is ridiculous. Homosexuality is an adaptation, not an inborn trait.”]

It is one of the most controversial topics in today’s society. Are you born gay? Is there a genetic gene that determines one’s sexuality? The PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays) organization has addressed this question of the “homosexuality gene” through a billboard campaign in Richmond, Virginia and controversy is brewing over the words “Nobody Is Born Gay.”

PFOX.org is a national non-profit organization serving ex-gays and families and friends with a homosexual loved one. According to their website, PFOX “exists to educate, support, and advocate for individuals and parents on the issue of same-sex attraction, and increase others’ understanding and acceptance of the ex-gay community.” The billboard campaign highlights a recent study on identical twins that does away with the mistruth over the imaginary genetic link to homosexuality, proving the science behind “Nobody is born gay.”

Local and national media have been reporting on this controversial billboard with statements from gay activists claiming the PFOX group is advocating “hate.” One opponent of the billboard, Dave Murray, even commented that the billboard is “legalized hate crime hiding under the constitution.” I believe he means free speech, which PFOX is openly engaging in under the First Amendment through a billboard viewed by thousands each day on a busy Interstate 95 intersection. Journalists, says Jorge Ramos, shouldn't make a fetish of accuracy and impartiality.

Speaking last month at the International Press Freedom Awards, Univision's influential news anchor told his audience that while he has "nothing against objectivity," journalism is meant to be wielded as "a weapon for a higher purpose: justice." To be sure, he said, it is important to get the facts right — five deaths should be reported as five, not six or seven. But "the best of journalism happens when we, purposely, stop pretending that we are neutral and recognize that we have a moral obligation to tell truth to power."

As it happens, Ramos delivered those remarks soon after the publication of Sabrina Erdely's 9,000-word story in Rolling Stone vividly describing the alleged gang rape of a freshman named Jackie at a University of Virginia fraternity party. Erdely had reportedly spent months researching the story, and its explosive impact was — at first — everything a tell-truth-to-power journalist could have wished: national attention, public outrage, campus protests, suspension of UVA's fraternities, and a new "zero-tolerance" policy on sexual assault.

But Rolling Stone's blockbuster has imploded, undone by independent reporting at The Washington Post that found glaring contradictions and irregularities with the story, and egregious failures in the way it was written and edited. Erdely, it turns out, had taken Jackie's horrific accusations on faith, never contacting the alleged rapists for a comment or response. In a rueful "Note to Our Readers," managing editor Will Dana writes: "[W]e have come to the conclusion … that the truth would have been better served by getting the other side of the story." Planned Parenthood Hopes to Make More Money By Aborting Babies of Illegal Immigrants

Posted on December 12 - from Life News

[Ed. note: Planned Parenthood’s crusade against minorities started decades ago, when their founder, Margaret Sanger, described African-Americans, and immigrants as “human weeds.”]

Planned Parenthood has posted on its website a statement in support of pro-abortion President Barack Obama’s plan to protect millions of illegal aliens from deportation, stating that “everyone in this country should have access to health care, regardless of income, geography, or citizenship status.”

Sounds nice, doesn’t it? However, by health care what they really mean is abortion. On November 21st, the president and CEO of the abortion empire, Cecile Richards said, “We commend President Obama for extending much needed and long overdue relief to millions of women and families currently living in fear of deportation due to our nation’s broken immigration system. This is a bold step forward that will help strengthen communities, our country and create a path to the American dream.

She continued, “At Planned Parenthood we see the difference that access to affordable health care makes for women and families every day and we’re proud to stand alongside our partners who have fought so hard for this victory. This is no doubt a joyous day for families across the country who have hoped and prayed for relief, as well as those visionary leaders and activists who have dedicated their lives to achieving what we are seeing today.” Read more...

The coming, complete collapse of the Republican Party

Posted on December 10 - from Tea Party Nation

[Ed. note: The GOP may still have mega dollar donors, but how well will the party do without a base?]

The Republican Party is standing, swaying in the breeze. Like a mortally wounded elephant it cannot quite figure out what happen or what will happen next. It only knows the end is coming.

What has mortally wounded the GOP?

There are two wounds. First is the Republican Party’s insane compulsion to surrender. A month after being handed a compelling mandate by the American people, the GOP is completely surrendering.

Instead of standing and fighting for issues the GOP base believes in, they are completely capitulating to the Chamber of Commerce and the Democrats.

Amnesty is the issue that 80% of Republicans want the Republicans in Washington to stand and fight on. Even 51% of independents want this.

But no, the GOP would rather surrender than fight. Read more...

Advice to Post-Obamacare Senators: Cancel the Soap Opera

Posted on December 9 - from The Federalist

[Ed. note: The president will, of course, shamelessly, cry wolf. But the new House and Senate must forge on nonetheless, employing their entire constitutional arsenals to begin to rebalance the government.]

With Bill Cassidy’s election on Saturday, the incoming class of US Senators is now complete. There will be 13 first-time members, all but one (Gary Peters of Michigan) a Republican. These join a group of 32 first-term senators already serving (17 Republicans; 15 Democrats) to form a surprisingly-large, post-Obamacare Senate cohort.

Viewed another way, with the defeat of Mary Landrieu, half (30) of those Democratic senators who voted for Obamacare just five years ago are now gone, seventeen of whom were replaced by Republicans. As even leading Democrats have begun to notice, if there is any one message the American people have communicated in their Congressional election votes over the last three cycles, it is that Obamacare should go too.

But if there is a broader message from the same elections, it seems to be a rejection of the Parliamentary-style government employed by President Obama and cheerleading Congressional Democrats to push through the stimulus package and Obamacare, among other major initiatives, when they controlled the House, Senate, and presidency between 2009 and 2011. Obama’s “Climate Education and Literacy Initiative”: How Do You Spell “I-N-D-O-C-T-R-I-N-A-T-I-O-N”?

Posted on December 8 - from Town Hall

[Ed. note: U.S. News and World Report: “The administration wants students and teachers to toe the line on climate change.”]

With Obamacare obviously failing to provide promised affordable health care and falling apart in the face of legal challenges and states’ refusal to participate, it’s becoming increasingly clear that President Obama has decided to make ending “climate change” his legacy.

“If you believe, like I do, that something has to be done on this, then you’re going to have to speak out,” Obama told students and faculty at the University of California at Irvine last June. “You’ve got to educate your classmates, and colleagues, and family members and fellow citizens, and tell them what’s at stake.”

Combined, those 6 in 10 Americans who don’t buy into his climate alarmism make it politically difficult for Obama to achieve his dream.

His solution? A new initiative to make sure the nation’s public schools sing the “right” tune on global warming. Read more...

It' Not Over

Posted on December 5 - from Chuck Baldwin

[Ed. note: You and are still breathing, folks, so, IT’S NOT OVER]

That America is spiraling on a collision course with calamity seems certain. We seem to be ignoring virtually all of the lessons of history, and, well, you know what one fellow said about the folly of doing that. I join the consensus of patriots and freedom-lovers throughout the country who believe America’s future is filled with all sorts of stormy weather. As a matter of fact, the storms are all around us already.

For one thing, most of the people who should be helping us in the freedom fight cannot see past the end of their ballot. They think, as long as they elect “conservatives” to public office, all is well with the world. And since the GOP now controls both houses of Congress in Washington, D.C., the vast majority of our good brothers and sisters are already all tucked in for extended hibernation. They will reemerge from under their blankets about three months before the general election in 2016 and start screaming their support for whomever the neocon candidate happens to be. Why, they are already ignoring the fact that the precious Republicans they just elected to the House and Senate a few weeks ago are already signaling that they will to do NOTHING to thwart Barack Obama’s executive amnesty, which was the single most defining issue that helped give the Congress to the GOP. Republicans on Capitol Hill are famous for doing NOTHING to fulfill the promises they made on the campaign trail to their constituents. And Republican voters are famous for reelecting them anyway. Good grief! Republicans in South Carolina can’t even get rid of Lindsey Graham; and Republicans in Arizona can’t even get rid of John McCain.

Even the great Republican “conservative,” Mitt Romney, is now on record saying that the GOP should “swallow hard” and pass a PERMANENT amnesty bill. And even though he says he is not running for President in two years, he continues to be the frontrunner in most of the GOP preference polls. What does that tell you? Read more...

8 Unbelievably Heartbreaking Quotes From Women Who Aborted Their Babies

Posted on December 4 - from LifeNews

[Ed. note: Abortion isn’t something someone does one day. It lasts a lifetime.]

We as a society are constantly bombarded with the pro-choice rhetoric that abortion is sometimes necessary. We also hear the words of post-abortive women like Cecile Richards who will say that their abortions were the right thing to do. But whether they are stuffing down their emotions or just plain lying, abortion is never a happy ending.

It kills a child and leaves a mother to live the rest of her life with the knowledge that she took her child’s life. Nothing brings that pain to light better than the words directly from the mouths of everyday post-abortive mothers who are ignored by the major media outlets. Unlike Richards, these women have nothing to gain from sharing their stories. They only hope to help other mothers choose life.

Lori Nerad, Former National President of Women Exploited by Abortion:

“Two weeks after the abortion, I went into labor. I staggered into the bathroom. And there, with my husband beside me, I delivered a part of my baby the doctor had missed. It was the head of my baby. . . I’ll wake up in the middle of the night, thinking I hear a baby crying. And I still have nightmares in which I am forced to watch my baby being ripped apart in front of me. I simply miss my baby. I constantly wake up wanting to nurse my child, wanting to hold my child. And that’s something the doctor never told me I would experience.” Read more...

Judge Napolitano: America Is Becoming ‘Dangerously Close to a Police State’

Posted on December 3 - from The Blaze

[Ed. note: When the first rule of government is for government to look out for itself, it is no longer the servant. It is the master.]

Judge Andrew Napolitano on Tuesday warned that America is becoming “dangerously close to a police state.”

“The definition of a police state is when the government’s prime concern is for its own safety, not for the lives, liberty and property of the people it has sworn to protect,” Napolitano said on The Glenn Beck Program. “That is a very, very dangerous place in which to be.”

According to Napolitano, America is becoming more of a police state because of the “over-militarization of the police — which occurred in the last 12 years under the administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama,” but also because of entrenched bureaucracy.

“When … the bureaucracy remains the same no matter who the president is, no matter who the governor is, no matter who the mayor is, and when the attitude on the part of those unseen people in the government is, ‘Our job is to keep ourselves in power,’ then we have lost control,” Napolitano remarked. Common Core Leading to a New Homeschooling Renaissance

Posted on December 2 - from The Truth Dispatch

[Ed. note: The Federal Bureaucracy does not care about your kids. They only care about the power they can accumulate.]

First, it was the Federal Government’s national overreach in education with President George W. Bush’s No Child Left Behind nationalized educational standards. President Barack Obama expanded President Bush’s federal overreach in education with his Common Core nationalized standards. The federal overreach in education is leading to more national control over what American kids are learning, but it is also leading to a new renaissance in homeschooling.

The Founding Fathers believed that a well-educated citizenry is paramount for liberty and self-government to survive. However, they never advocated for the Federal Government to control and dictated to parents what is taught to their children. The Founding Fathers promoted the importance of a general education, but education was the responsibility of the parents to educate their children adequately, grounded on the principles and teachings of the Bible. It was not the responsibility of the government to educate them.

Nationalizing education is not about providing adequate education for kids. It is about controlling what they learn, what they know, and what they believe. It is about turning the electorate into pro-government robots who are easily controlled by a central planner. The Federal Bureaucracy does not care about your kids. They only care about the power they can accumulate. Read more...

Obama Incentivizes the Lawless and Penalizes the Lawful

Posted on December 1 - from Breitbart

[Ed. note: Obama criticizes the police and encourages violent protests in Ferguson. He also restricts our border guards while giving taxpayer funded goodies to those sneaking across the border.]

In filling in for Rush Limbaugh on his Friday show, conservative commentator Mark Steyn scoffed at the notion Republicans would handle impeachment well enough to even attempt. The author of “The Undocumented Mark Steyn” responded a caller’s question about impeachment and acknowledge that Obama penalizes the lawful, while incentivizing the lawless, but was skeptical congressional Republicans would do anything about it.

As it pertained to impeachment, he pointed to the impeachment proceedings against former President Bill Clinton in the 1990s and explained that based upon the Republican Senate leadership’s handling of impeachment at the time, there is no reason to believe it would be handled differently this time around.

"I kind of blow hot and cold on impeachment because you're dealing with a political class that always makes a mess of it,” Steyn explained to a caller. “I sat in the Senate during the last impeachment trial. That guy should have been impeached as well, and the reason he wasn't is because it's a joke process. The Senate is allowed to set the rules. You had Chief Justice Rehnquist, and he didn't do anything but have this sort of Gilbert and Sullivan robe made up for the occasion." Read more...

Peace is a Two-Way Street

Posted on November 26 - from The Truth dispatch

[Ed. note: The Palestinians are the ones who reject two-state peace solutions that allow Israel to continue to exist.]

The recent deadly attack in Israel on a Jerusalem synagogue is clear evidence that the Palestinians do not want peace with Israel. As the leader of a sovereign country, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is promising tough security measures to protect Israeli citizens. Pope Francis is evening commenting on the deadly attack, calling it “unacceptable,” while calling for peace between the Palestinians and Israelis.

However, I am convinced now more than ever that peace is unachievable when you have one side that does not really want peace. Peace is a two-way street with a common goal of protecting the natural rights and freedoms of the citizens of each country. The Palestinians continue to condemn Israel for alleged atrocities against the Palestinian people, and rejecting every peace deal that creates two independent nation-states side by side.

Israel bends over backwards to announce to the average Palestinian in the Gaza Strip when they are attacking a specific building to give them time to leave. They attack Hamas Palestinians with pinpoint accuracy, even to their disadvantage, in order to ensure the safety of peaceful Palestinians. Israel would accept peace with the Palestinians in a heartbeat if the Palestinians really wanted it. Read more...

The best way to make a church beautiful is to fill it with people

Posted on November 25 - from Facebook Apostles

[Ed. note: Buildings are just brick and mortar... the real church is the people - the body of Christ!]

The feast of the Dedication of the Basilica of Saint John Lateran last week was a twofold reminder of the importance of that church, which is the Pope’s cathedral and, like all churches, an expression of the unity found in communion with the Successor of Saint Peter. It is also an important sign that all church buildings are expressions of heaven.

In Jerusalem, our Lord said that if the temple were destroyed, he would rebuild it in three days. He was speaking of his own body, for buildings come and go but he lives forever. Yet he revered the earthly temple and became most righteously angry, using a whip to drive out those who profaned it. Each one of us by baptism becomes a temple of the Holy Spirit, and the best way to keep that human shrine fit for God is to whip Satan out of it by going to confession.

Church buildings are natural lodgings for the supernatural Church, which is why we should make them as beautiful as possible. Winston Churchill said, “We shape our buildings, and afterwards our buildings shape us.” The art and skill with which we adorn churches in turn bring us closer to the Lord. It is not enough to believe in Christ. The acknowledgement of his divinity must move the soul to worship him. “The devils also believe and tremble in fear” (James 2:19), because they refuse to worship him. Their fear is servile fear, and not the holy fear, or awe, that churches should evoke and encourage. It is the difference between being haunted and being holy. Read more...

A free press no more

Posted on November 24 - from Tea Party Nation

[Ed. note: The left wing media will remain silent on the case of a major Democrat donor who has been indicted for sexual abuse of a minor.]

The free press has been such an important American tradition that our founding fathers made the right to freedom of the press a part of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

While a number of Presidents would have liked to have muzzled the free press, the press today is mostly muzzled. The government did not do it to the press. They did it to themselves.

Today we have a left wing dictator in the White House who knows the media has surrendered to him and he can bully them anytime he wants.

From Breitbart:

After CBS News aired a damaging report which suggested Attorney General Eric Holder had lied to Congress, the Department of Justice's (DOJ) press director worked overtime to suppress reporter Sharyl Attkisson's story and called her CBS superiors to complain.

Silencing people is what they do best

[Ed. note: The real issue with the radical homosexual movement is not their sexual choice. Like leftists everywhere, they do not want to allow anyone to disagree with them.]

Anyone remember when the homosexual movement went mainstream about twenty years ago?

All they said they wanted was “tolerance.” They wanted the “same rights” everyone else had.

Turns out they want special rights. One of the special rights the homosexual movement demands is the right to silence anyone who dares to disagree with them.

This includes Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of the TV show “19 kids and counting.”

From USA Today:

First it was Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald who shared a newlywed smooch photo.

Then mom and dad, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, shared a shot of themselves in a major liplock to show that they're still in love after 30 years of marriage and 19 children. In posting that shot on Facebook, they encouraged other couples to share their kiss photos, writing:

"God designed marriage to be a loving, dynamic relationship between a husband and wife for a lifetime. God loves marriage and it is supposed to be full of love, joy, fun and romance," it said. "We challenge all married couples to take a happily married picture and post it here."

The Gaystopo has had a cow. They are now pushing a petition on Change.org that demands TLC cancel the Duggar show.

They don’t like the fact the Duggars stand for normal marriage. The Duggars may be on to something. Some of their kids are grown now and so far they seem to be okay. Read more...

Obama's Weakness, Ineptitude Are By Design, Part Of The Plan

Posted on November 20 - from Investors Business Daily

[Ed. note: The big question is whether Congress and the Supreme Court can stop him from doing irreparable damage to America in his last two years.]

Just what happened last week on Election Day? And what is going to happen in the years ahead?

The most important thing that happened last week was that the country dodged a bullet.

Had the Democrats retained control of the Senate, President Obama could have spent his last two years in office loading the federal judiciary with judges who share his contempt for the Constitution of the United States.

Such judges — perhaps including Supreme Court justices — would have been confirmed by Senate Democrats, and could spend the rest of their lifetime appointments ruling in favor of expansions of federal government power that would make the freedom of "we the people" only a distant memory and a painful mockery.

We dodged that bullet. But what about the rest of Barack Obama's term? Pundits who depict Obama as a weak, lame-duck president may be greatly misjudging him, as they have so often in the past. Read more...

Cracks in the atheist edifice

Posted on November 19 - from The Economist

[Ed. note: A mid-ranking official in a big city was recently told that her Christian faith, which was well known in the office, was not compatible with her party membership and she would have to give it up. She politely told her superiors that she would not be able to do that...]

THE coastal city of Wenzhou is sometimes called China’s Jerusalem. Ringed by mountains and far from the capital, Beijing, it has long been a haven for a religion that China’s Communist leaders view with deep unease: Christianity. Most cities of its size, with about 9m people, have no more than a dozen or so visibly Christian buildings. Until recently, in Wenzhou, hundreds of crosses decorated church roofs.

This year, however, more than 230 have been classed as “illegal structures” and removed. Videos posted on the internet show crowds of parishioners trying to form a human shield around their churches. Dozens have been injured. Other films show weeping believers defiantly singing hymns as huge red crosses are hoisted off the buildings. In April one of Wenzhou’s largest churches was completely demolished. Officials are untroubled by the clash between the city’s famously freewheeling capitalism and the Communist Party’s ideology, yet still see religion and its symbols as affronts to the party’s atheism.

Christians in China have long suffered persecutiont. Under Mao Zedong, freedom of belief was enshrined in the new Communist constitution (largely to accommodate Muslims and Tibetan Buddhists in the west of the country). Yet perhaps as many as half a million Christians were harried to death, and tens of thousands more were sent to labour camps. Since the death of Mao in 1976, the party has slowly allowed more religious freedom. Most of the churches in Wenzhou are so-called “Three Self” churches, of which there are about 57,000 round the country. These, in the official jargon, are self-supporting, self-governed and self-propagating (therefore closed to foreign influence). They profess loyalty to China, and are registered with the government. But many of those in Wenzhou had obviously incurred official displeasure all the same; and most of the Christians who survived Maoist persecution, along with many new believers, refuse to join such churches anyway, continuing to meet in unregistered “house churches”, which the party for a long time tried to suppress. Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Looking for More Customers Via Obamacare

Posted on November 18 - from Life News

[Ed. note: This works because so many of our courts share the anti-Christian thinking of the ACLU and the perpetually offended.]

In 2009, President Barack Obama promised the American people that Obamacare would not fund abortion. However, in September, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report that showed that Obamacare plans cover abortion and receive taxpayer subsides.

The GAO report also found that nearly all of the insurance issuers sampled are not itemizing the required separate abortion surcharge on its bills – confirming that the Obama Administration is ignoring the law’s abortion accounting gimmick. In 2014, taxpayers have funded over a thousand Obamacare health plans that subsidize abortion on demand—even late-term abortion—in defiance of the Hyde Amendment the President publicly said he would honor.

This is why it is no surprise that Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business, has spent millions of dollars to promote and get people signed up for Obamacare. As LifeNews previously reported, the abortion giant deployed thousands of canvassers across the country to get people plugged into the healthcare system.

Additionally, Obamacare created new ways for Planned Parenthood to receive public funding. In 2013, Planned Parenthood received taxpayer-funded grants to help American’s sign up for health coverage. The organization has also worked tirelessly for the Obama administration, which is why he praised the group’s efforts in helping pass the health care law. At a gala for Planned Parenthood, Obama said. “I know how hard you worked to help us pass health care reform. You and your supporters got out there—you organized; you mobilized; you made your voices heard. It made all the difference.” Read more...

One 'offended' atheist halts high school concert

Posted on November 17 - from GOPUSA

[Ed. note: This works because so many of our courts share the anti-Christian thinking of the ACLU and the perpetually offended.]

After traditionally holding its students’ secular fall concert in a local church’s auditorium for the past four years, one Florida high school recently surrendered to a demand made by the American Civil Liberties Union over a complaint from one “offended” atheist parent who felt uncomfortable about the venue.

The ACLU argues that because the facility is regularly used for religious services, the parent considers the concert location to be objectionable. This is despite the fact that no religious content was scheduled to be included in the event.

Liberty Counsel, a pro-family legal group, is offering the school legal representation to fight the ACLU, urging district officials not to cave in to its campaign of intimidation and misinformation.

“This concert is about the kids, not the ACLU or an atheist parent,” proclaimed Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver. “As Americans, we put the needs of children first, above the desires of adults. That is what we do. That is America!” Read more...

What’s Going On With Our Police?

Posted on November 14 - from Chuck Baldwin

[Ed. note: Based on current statistical data, you and I are eight times more likely to be killed by a police officer than we are an actual terrorist.]

What’s going on with our police? More and more, it seems that our men in blue have been transformed from a friendly neighborhood peace office, whose mission is to protect and serve, to a hostile military force, whose mission is to harass and intimidate.

I am going to broach a subject in this syndicated column this week that people such as me are not supposed to talk about. By people such as me, I mean Christians, "conservatives," Republican-types, etc. "We" are NEVER supposed to criticize the police--not in any shape, manner, or form. ANY criticism of all things police (and military, for that matter) is immediately deemed to be "left-wing," "unpatriotic,” etc. To criticize the police in any way brings immediate and vehement accusations that one is against law and order or is a “bleeding heart liberal,” etc. But, in all probability, the vast majority of “our” folks will simply ignore this column. My observation is “WE” are mostly very closed-minded and don’t tolerate ideas that are outside the box of what is heard on FOX NEWS or from today’s milquetoast preachers.

However, it is an absolute fact that today’s law enforcement agencies are more and more being militarized and are becoming more and more hostile to the American citizenry. More and more, police officers view the American people as “enemy combatants” and are developing a deeply imbedded “us versus them” mindset. More and more, police officers are behaving like soldiers, not peace officers. Examples of police abuse are becoming more and more frequent and more and more severe. If this breach of the public trust is not reined in soon, it is going to get very ugly in this country. Read more...

God Said It, That Settles It: No Common Ground for Christianity and Homosexuality

Posted on November 13 - from BarbWire

[Ed. note: Whether Satan uses a country music singer, a movie star, an athlete, a CEO or a student editor to say Christianity and homosexuality can have a common ground, it’s not what God has said.]

Just a few days ago I saw an article where a Liberty University student editor called for Christians and homosexuals to find “common ground”. My first thought was, “what would Big Jerry (my nickname for Liberty University founder, the late Jerry Falwell Sr.) think about this? That thought was quickly overtaken by the thought, What does the Lord think about this?

Immediately I took a walk down my own memory lane thirty-three years ago when I myself wondered what God had to say about my homosexuality. I had been seduced into it as a college co-ed and after ten years of lesbian living, somewhere deep down inside I still felt it was wrong. But was there a Biblical basis for that feeling?

I had been raised in a southern Baptist family with a deacon dad, Sunday school teacher mom and preacher brother. We were in church every time the door was open but I had never heard the topic of homosexuality discussed. Perhaps God did not care about homosexuality. After all Jesus did say “love one another”. Every time the wondering ran through my mind, I would either justify my life-style or dismiss the thought. Read more...

Child Porn Nation: America’s Hidden National Security Threat

Posted on November 12 - from BarbWire

[Ed. note: Child pornography has mushroomed into a giant business, attracting organized crime. At least 200,000 websites sell such images… and rake in from $20 billion to $30 billion a year.]

America now produces an estimated half of the world’s child porn. Of all the global internet servers that host child sexual abuse websites, nearly half are located in the United States. An estimated 50,000 Americans, at any given time, are on-line trading images of child sex abuse.

Imagine, for a moment, the number of children raped since you finished your morning coffee in order to produce half the world’s child porn. Think about the children you know. Given the numbers, it is statistically impossible that you do not know a child who is being sexually abused in America today.

When mainstream media does report on the story the message is: Nothing to see here. Move along, please. Yes, there are a few powerful voices here and there that defend the survivor or attempt to deepen the discussion but, by and large, American journalists tend to act as apologists for the sex abuser and move off the story as quickly as possible. Obamacare architect admits Obama lied about his signature law

Posted on November 11 - from examiner.com

[Ed. note: “Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” says the MIT economist who helped write Obamacare. “And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”]

One of the main creators of President Barack Obama's "signature legislation," the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACU) a/k/a Obamacare, admitted to colleagues at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that Obama and he lied to the American people. Dr. Jonathan Gruber, who appeared on national television selling Obamacare to Americans conceded that in order to gain support for a government takeover of healthcare insurance and distribution it was necessary to avoid transparency, according to officials with a public-interest group who discovered the YouTube video of that professor's comments and released it on Monday.

According to the nonprofit American Committment, Gruber reportedly made his videotaped comments at a special event on the MIT campus and conceded that it was necessary to avoid transparency to pass Obama's healthcare grab. Dr, Gruber even admitted to lying in order to help the Obama White House and the Democrats in both houses of the U.S. Congress in order to get the support of a number of groups and individuals.

"During the intense debate over ACU, the Republicans were denigrated and vilified for being opposed to the legislation that very few, if any, lawmaker read. In fact, one congressman, Alan Grayson of Florida, told the American people that Republicans 'want you to die' because they opposed Obama's monstrosity," said former hospital security director and police chief, Tony Arcadian. "I believe these people should face criminal charges for perpetrating a fraud. Eric Holder prosecuted businessmen for less," Arcadian added. Read more...

Equality Feminism and Contraception

Posted on November 10 - from The Truth Dispatch

[Ed. note: There are all sort of things taught to the people that do not have the courage or principles to face reality.]

“There is all the difference in the world between treating people equally and attempting to make them equal. While the first is the condition of a free society, the second means as De Tocqueville describes it, ‘a new form of servitude.'” –economist Friedrich August von Hayek (1899-1992)

Some Americans are old enough (like me) to remember when going on the dole was something only done when every other option had been tried. Even then, some lingering shame accompanied that choice, along with determination to get off the dole and return to being self-sufficient and productive as soon as possible. Such ideas must seem really strange to current generations, many of whom (particularly the government schooled) have been inundated with the idea someone owes them something — for nothing, no less; work isn’t necessary, retirement doesn’t need to be earned, health care should be free, as well as housing, food, transportation, clothing, birth control! They don’t realize they are kept slaves since they don’t have to do anything.

It is amazing how many people are thoroughly convinced there are more than enough workers — who will go on working no matter how onerous it becomes to support the detritus — to underwrite all the slackers, ever-growing number of fence-sitters, and government employees on to the cost side of the ledger. I think it less remarkable we have a president who openly exploits such selfishness and ignorance by taking an American virtue (the free market) and turn it into a vice, which is what Obama does when he labels our alternative to his socialist/Marxist vision as an ‘on your own’ society. The poll found that 47 percent oppose legalizing same-sex marriage while 44 percent support legally redefining it, with nine percent unsure, LifeSiteNews.com reported.

LifeSiteNews pointed out that is the second poll in recent months that showed declining support. A poll conducted by Pew Research shows a five-point drop in support since 2010. Read more...

This last week my ministry team made national news (again) as we came under fire for seeking and saving the lost. A deranged “Constitution teacher” physically assaulted my street team ministry leader for stating that “separation of church and state” is not found in the Constitution.

That way, our side will be safer from friendly fire when we launch the flaming tar at the remaining Democrats in office.

Let us review the bidding. Republicans ran this year on very little of substance. Their brand ID is still very underwater with the American public. There is no program right now that the American public is clamoring for the Republicans to undertake with one exception: they hate what President Obama is doing and they want Republicans to stop it. Exit poll after exit poll last night showed that the single most important thing in the minds of the voters this year was the looming shadow of death Obama cast on all his Democrat allies.
